LADY HAWKINS’ SCHOOL

Living Archives Project

The Lady Hawkins’ School Living Archive was started in 2006. Teachers and students (from Lady Hawkins’ School interviewed four veterans of the Second World War (Ted Brister, Peter Davies, Bill Morris, and Alec Wardman) between 2006 and 2007.

More interviews are being added to this archive. Their heartfelt accounts, often sad, but sometimes funny, are witness to this intense period of their lives.

This web site contains images of photographs, letters and other materials kindly provided by the veterans with extracts from their oral history interviews.

The Lady Hawkins’ School Living Archive is dedicated to the memory of Ted Brister and Alec Wardman.
