Lady Hawkins’ School was recognised by OFSTED as a good school in January 2018.
The Lady Hawkins’ Trust wish to appoint an experienced teacher to head up our new Communications Faculty, comprising of English, MFL, Art, Music, Drama & Btec Vocational Studies.

Finance & Admin Assistant
25 hours per week, term-time only

£19,264-£20,043 per annum (pro rata £10,876-£11,316)

Our governors wish to appoint a Finance & Admin Assistant to work within our small yet busy school office. Duties will be mainly financial, but as you’ll be based in reception there will be also be some reception and admin duties. Duties include processing orders and invoices, lettings, answering telephone enquiries and assisting visitors/students at reception.

Clerk to the Governors Level 2
HC4 £19,264-20,043 per annum (£913 – £950 pro rata)
80 hours annually
The Governors of Lady Hawkins School are seeking to appoint a Clerk to the Governing Body to support governance at this successful Academy school from April 2022. This role is critical to the effective operation of the Governing Body.
The main roles of the Clerk are to provide the Governors with administrative and organisational support and with guidance on governance, constitutional and procedural matters.
We are looking for a Clerk who has:
• excellent administration and organisational skills and attention to detail;
• strong written and verbal communication skills;
• a keen interest in supporting high standards of school governance;
• the ability to develop effective working relationships and to offer constructive challenge where appropriate;
• proficient IT skills including uploading documents to the school website and email;
• experience of clerking in schools or academies or experience of school governance would be an advantage but not essential as training can be given.

Working pattern
You would be required to attend 8 evening meetings per academic year plus occasional extraordinary meetings. The rest of the role can be done from home at your convenience.
