Temporary Teacher of English (Full Time)

Could you inspire a love of English in a school where relationships matter and every student is known?

We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of English to join our welcoming school community. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop confidence as readers, writers and speakers, alongside the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.

Lady Hawkins’ School is a small, growing secondary school in the rural market town of Kington. We combine high expectations with a supportive, restorative approach, working closely with families to help our students achieve their best.

You will be joining a successful English department with strong GCSE outcomes. In 2026, 78% of students achieved grade 4 or above in English. This is an opportunity to build on that success and help more students develop confidence and a love of the subject.

We are looking for someone who brings strong subject knowledge, thoughtful teaching and a commitment to making English accessible and challenging for all learners.
